Who goes there?
Curious…I guess.
Feel is subjective. Test the same wheelbase on a good day versus a bad day and you’ll get different answers from the same person. Mood, fatigue, expectations, what you drove last, all of it bleeds into perception.
The machines don’t care. The torque transducer doesn’t have a good day or a bad day. The oscilloscope doesn’t have a favorite brand. Numbers are numbers.
Feel is why we race. But it shouldn’t be all we have.
Feel comes first. Always has been, and will be. You try a wheelbase, you form an opinion, and that opinion is valid.
The problem is, it’s yours, and I can’t hand it to someone else. “It feels great” means something different depending on who’s saying it, what they drove before, what their torque level and settings are, what wheel they used, and what kind of day they’re having.
Data gives me something that travels. A number is a number regardless of who’s reading it. It doesn’t replace what you felt, it just gives us both something to point at.
Without it, I’m asking you to trust me blindly. And that’s no good.
Honestly, just watching the videos and exploring the data here already keeps the channel alive. If you’d like to go a step further, using the affiliate link when making a purchase costs you nothing extra. There’s also a Patreon if you’d like to support directly.
Everything goes back into the lab and helps get hardware tested sooner. The data will always be free, no paywall, ever.
